Based in Edinburgh since 2013, Elisa Guietti was born in Turin where she graduated from The Albertina Academy of Fine Arts. She received a Certificate in Children’s Illustration from City Lit College, London in 2011.
In her artistic practice Elisa manages to reconcile her belief in simplicity and colour with her conviction that art is a powerful agent of expression and communication that makes a real difference in people’s lives. Elisa’s most recent collaborations with both children and vulnerable adults include Leonard Cheshire Disability, Red i Creative and The Alma Project. Elisa also developed and co-founded ArtRipples – a voluntary organisation generating positive change while making art more accessible to everyone.

In the meantime, here is a brief slideshow of her most recent projects which inspired the young people in Primary 2 class to find humour, meaning and emotion in colour and simplicity a la Elisa Guietti.
Did you know Elisa Guietti has been one of the official face painting artists at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival since 2013. She has probably painted more than 1000 faces, maybe even yours!
