Surrealism for Surreal Times

The surrealists who pioneered this movement in 1924 would probably feel ‘well at home’ in these surreal times of COVID-19 pandemic. Our artist-in-residence Sylwia Kowalczyk has just launched her first stay at home and be surreal workshop for her team of Primary 6 co-artists complete with some practical ideas for collage and montage-making – some of the signature techniques Sylwia uses in her photography work, too.

We feel that we can throw open the doors of the Primary 6 virtual classroom and challenge the entire Abbeyhill Primary School community and everyone else who is homeschooling to get creative with Sylwia and Primary 6.
